Meet the Jefferson School Leadership CouncilWhat is the Leadership Council?
The Jefferson School relies on caring leaders from the community – individuals willing to lend their talents, time and treasure to help children and young people with behavioral health needs. The School benefits from these extraordinary volunteers who lead and bolster its community advocacy and charitable support.
The Leadership Council is a standing committee of the Board of Trustees of Sheppard & Enoch Pratt Foundation, Inc., the governing and fiduciary board of Sheppard Pratt Health System.
The Jefferson School Leadership Council is Sheppard Pratt’s model for essential coordination of community leadership between Sheppard Pratt’s main campus in Towson, Maryland and geographically dispersed community locations. This model is crucial because in the past few decades, Sheppard Pratt expanded its services to over 30 locations throughout Maryland, often at considerable distances from the main campus. The Leadership Council exemplifies an effective new strategy for meshing local community participation and volunteer coordination with overall governance.
The Council advises the school director and Trustees and top leadership of Sheppard Pratt on philanthropic priorities, and it assists with fundraising.
